MAY GOD BLESS YOU, VETS!

May God bless you, for defending our country,

for risking your lives so we could stay free,

for leaving behind what was so close to your heart,

your families and safety from them you did depart.

Not knowing if you would return whole or alive,

to give us liberty, and do your duty you did strive,

to bless America, you did your very best,

in war or in peace, I’m sure it was a big test.

Thank you all my sisters and brothers,

for upholding God, and all of the others,

thank you for putting your lives on the line,

so through you, God’s glory would shine.

Through the wars, I’m sure you went through hell,

and now, it is hard for you your story to tell,

even though the battles in your minds have left some scars,

there is healing in Jesus, as you reach for the stars.

He wants your whole being to be mended,

as His healing virtues upon you are descended,

just release to Him all your burdens and your grief,

and in time with His love and grace He will bring you relief.

We appreciate you more than words can ever say,

God bless you abundantly each and every day!
